Hampton Hill Theatre

About the organisation

Hampton Hill Theatre was purpose-built for Teddington Theatre Club and opened in 1998.

HRH Princess Alexandra, who had attended productions at the old theatre in Hampton Court House, laid the foundation stone during the construction period and attended the gala opening production in June 1999.

This was preceded by some trial productions to allow club members to become familiar with the new state-of-the art technical equipment and all the other necessary features of running a larger and more sophisticated theatre designed not only for themselves but to be available to the community at large.

What you'll be doing

There are many ways to get involved at the theatre – a few of the more popular activities include acting/directing, front of house team, bar staff, stewards, lighting and sound teams, set/prop and costume teams, and theatre maintenance. It is a great way to meet local people, have a lot of fun and be part of something special. Many members are bringing their professional skills to a new environment or gaining experience for their CV! Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and become a member.
