Change the price of parking back to £2 a day!

Student Life President Update:
At Student Life Council, the students present elected to pass the petition, with amendments. Those amendments were that the price shouldn't be reduced back to £2, but could 'meet in the middle' at £5, which is still a 150% increase on the previous fee of £2.
Caitlin has brought this petition to Chris Paget, Director of Estates, and is awaiting a response.
Recently, the parking on university campus has risen to hourly pricing.
This means that commuting students are now paying upwards of £90 per month to attend lectures. This is unmanageable, unreasonable, and unaffordable, especially considering the cost of living crisis we are currently in.
There was no warning of the rise in prices and no support has been offered to those who are struggling to afford coming in to the university at all.
If the university is not responsible for the rise in prices, we are asking for the universitiy's support in following this up with the council.

The R68 bus is not reliable, if it was I wouldn’t be driving!

With prices rising everywhere, this is unfair rise. I drive as it is cheaper than a train ticket and a quicker way to get back home to my family as I am a mature student but please reconsider the charge as it is ridiculously high for students.
