The university currently require students to pay the first £4.80 towards travel to placement. Most placements are close enough for travel expenses to be less than this meaning a student will receive no reimbursement even when they have still incurred a cost to themselves. This is unfair as the majority of students are already struggling in the cost of living crisis and students already pay a substantial amount in course fees which should cover all aspects of the course.
