I beleive that the points system should be swapped due to the more meal opportuities we get on the weekday. This year we have been introduced to having lunch on points, which from my observations has become a very popular demand. However, as someone that relies on the ref, I believe that we simply do not have enough points to get us through the day.
Sometimes I miss breakfast, so I now get the option to get lunch, which is great. However, with the prices of paninis/ wraps and sandwhiches, that simply takes up the majority of our points, which leaves us with paying for part of our meals (which defeats the purpose of being catered for).
I am also writing for those who have their routines and needs to have three meals a day (whether that is for health reasons or just generally). Having the amounts of points give us the chace to have more opportunities to get food, which means we will not have to use our own money. This leads me onto how expensive items are, and how there is no correlation of points and actuals money. 1 POINT is equivelent to £0.79. A coffee is 1 POINT yet we are almost paying £2 for a tiny cup... not worth the money!
Regarding the weekends, I have observed how quiet brunch can be. Why do we have 14 points when most of us are only wanting one meal?
Make it, make sense.
