As a student who studies off main campus and has classes in the nearby other campus buildings. It would be much easier on lunch break to be able to buy my lunch in the Naylor cafe.
The walk between Naylor and main campus is 15 minutes or 10 minutes via the 33 bus.
This means that there is 30 minutes of the lunch break spent travelling when it would be much easier and quicker for the students who have points to be able to use them in the cafe.
The line in the refectory can be quite long during the rush hours. This line is made up of lecturers and students alike who tend to go for food roughly the same time or in between class. It would strongly benefit students to be able to use their points to get lunch (sandwiches or hot toasties) in the cafe. This would reduce the line on campus and sell more sandwiches in the Naylor cafe.
Many students may not get a full 1-hour lunch break, so it can be even more stressful for those who don’t have time to rush back to campus.
