May Update
Caitlin and Jack met with Circuit to discuss the new potential developments in the washeteria, including, but not limited to, changes to the app and machines. More details will be released on this shortly!
February Update
Student Life President Update:
At Student Life Council, the students present elected to pass the petition, with ammendments. Those amendments were that the free wash & dry were not necessary, but that Caitlin (SLP) should speak to Circuit about the features they could include on their app, such as machine availability etc.
Caitlin has contacted Circuit and is awaiting a response.
Circuit Laundry is becoming a joke with how irregular this service runs, bearing in mind, it is described a 'twentyfour- hour service'. From the week beginning of the 30th October, the washeteria, could not go more than 3 days without breaking, not to mention the lack of communication regarding it's out of order service.
It is almost ridiculous to mention the lack of washing and drying machines for over 600 students, and the awful backlog this can bring when there are closures- the wait can be up to two hours and there is no way of saying when the machines are free.
I believe we should be given some sort of benefit or free wash and dry, as we are paying extortionate prices, for a service that does not deliver to what it is described to be. The SU need to step up with tackling the problem as a whole rather than only when a problem arises (and this is not often).
