The old coffee in the DV would always give me the right start to my day, the flavour and strength were just right to give me an energy boost, without being too much or having a muddy taste. I've heard all of my friends echo a similar sentiment; the new DV coffee (Paddy and Scott's) does not evoke the same feelings. It is much too strong, gives me the jitters and has a burnt aftertaste. This is a big shame because most of the other new things in the DV are really good, the selection of syrups and different coffee options would be much better complimented with good coffee beans to go with it. The catering staff work so hard to make good drinks for our students and staff, but there's only so much that they can do with ingredients that they're given.
