If you're a student with dyslexia, SMSU are here to ensure your voice is heard.

From the 3rd to the 7th of October, SMSU will be running a range of events and activities for dyslexia awareness week. We'll be sharing tips and advice for students with dyslexia, raising awareness of the support available at St Mary's and running events to support our dyslexic students.

Wednesday 5th October will be "wear red day". We encourage all staff and students to join us in wearing red to show your support for students with Dyslexia. Red has been chosen as a colour as it represents the red marker pen used to correct spelling and grammar mistakes on students' work.

On Thursday 6th October student services will be running a dyslexia drop-in session. Students can come up to student services anytime between 11 and 1 for advice and to ask any questions about dyslexia.

If you're a dyslexic student at St Mary's, we want to hear about your university experience. We need your voice to ensure St Mary's is a place where students with dyslexia can thrive. On Friday 7th October, we’ll be hosting a focus group for students with dyslexia.

You can register your interest here!

We'll also be sharing content all week on our social media channels. We'll be sharing tips and advice for students with dyslexia, raising awareness of the support available and sharing stories from celebrities with dyslexia.
